Reckoning with the US Election: A Parts Work Approach to Inner and Outer Leadership

The Centre for Climate Psychology is hosting this transformative workshop by Lisa Ferguson to help us collectively prepare to meet the challenges ahead with skill and compassion.

The recent outcome of the US election presents significant challenges for climate action, complicating efforts to mitigate climate chaos and uphold human rights. This workshop, scheduled just days before the inauguration of a new US president, aims to enhance your capacities to respond effectively to these pressing issues.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Emotional Resilience: Engage in parts work to process your reactions to the election ramifications. This approach will facilitate the exploration of emotions such as grief, anger, fear, and hopelessness, enabling you to navigate these feelings constructively.

  • Leadership Development: Discover Self-Leadership, a core component of parts work that fosters grounded and effective leadership. This aspect will empower you to lead with confidence and clarity in both professional and personal contexts.

  • Addressing Polarization: Examine the theme of polarization through the lens of parts work. By addressing inner conflicts, you can contribute to reducing societal divisions and promote collaborative solutions.

  • Practical Skills Application: Gain hands-on experience with parts work techniques that you can integrate into your daily life and professional practice, enhancing your emotional resilience and leadership effectiveness.
